Rosales dedicates fight to son

Though coming in as an underdog, Jessie Cris Rosales is determined to score a huge upset over unbeaten prospect Tyler McCreary in their scheduled eight-rounder on July 20, 2019 (PHL time) at the MGM National Harbor in Maryland, USA.

Even though he has had a lot of trials going into this fight, Rosales is very much inspired to win and do it for his son Emman.

“This fight is for my son. Even though there are a lot of trials, I still continue to fight because of Emman,” the 27-year-old Rosales told SunStar Cebu.

Rosales is coming in as a replacement opponent and his coach, Jingjing Tepora, won’t be with him in his corner. Roberto Yañez will be in his corner.

“I will follow my game plan with coach Jingjing even though he’s not here with me,” he said.

Rosales was supposed to fight Xavier Martinez last June 28 in Las Vegas but the latter backed out from the fight due to an injury in training camp.

Rosales still went to the US to train up until he was informed last July 2 that he was going to fight McCreary.

McCreary is a 26-year-old prospect from the USA. He is coming off a six-round majority draw against journeyman Roberto Castañeda last March 23, 2019 in Costa Mesa, California. EKA
