Bikoy: time and form utilized?

ONE way to increase the value of a certain product or good is by engaging to utilization methods. From the many methods my business professor taught me, I find these two as timely and relevance: 1.) Time Utility, where goods or products will be stored to demand a decent price in the future, like seasoned wine; and 2.) Form Utility, where goods and products will be transformed to demand a higher value, like a wooden slab into a furniture.

The above forms of utilities are apparent in the handling of information Peter Joemel Advincula a.k.a Bikoy revealed through the IBP on May 7. During that time, the information he gave may not be a product or good that is pricy and valuable today. But as the time goes by and with a little twist from the first statement, all information became precious to crucify the 30 political nemesis of the Duterte administration.

When the mysterious hooded man appeared to own the “ang totoong narcolist’ video, presidential spokesperson Salvado Panelo quickly scoured that Bikoy has no credibility due to his criminal past. Perhaps because Bikoy was forking out a bag full of accusations to the presidential son Paolo Duterte, presidential son-in-law Manases Carpio and the then Presidential Aide Bong Go.

Even PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde questioned the integrity of Bikoy and warned to face possible multiple cases for miring the presidential family. Bikoy, based on PNP profiling is a notorious estafador, engaged in a large-scale illegal recruitment, and involved in a drug syndicate. Albayalde said Bikoy is a con man peddling bogus information at P50,000 to 70,000 for a living and so his statement was not taken as a gospel truth.

Barely two months, Bikoy came back with (time and form utilized) story. This time, his statement is more convincing as it has been subscribed and sworn to be consistent according to his lawyer Atty. Larry Gadon. In his comeback, the PNP-CIDG based on Bikoy’s sworn statement filed charges against 30 political opponents of this administration including VP Leni Robredo, Senators Leila de Lima and Risa Hontiveros, former senators Bam Aquino and Antonio Trillanes, with John and Jane Does of “Project Sodoma” the supposed conspiracy to unseat Duterte.

Even with the blatant indicator of political torment in the statement of Bikoy, the PNP still has to pursue the cases: sedition, inciting to sedition, cyber libel, libel, estafa, harboring a criminal and obstruction of justice to the DOJ, burying deep the prior ad hominem arguments of Panelo and Albayalde. The duo (Panelo and Albayalde) even with their respective ages, I believe has no Alzheimer's disease to be reckless of their first impression, neither they are volatile; but both are rationale in their position.

Utilized statement or not, Bikoy must be heard not as shrill whistle because of his criminal past but as a judicious blower, as my sage professor was saying, “Even a prostituted woman has the right to complain that she was raped.”
