Style talks with Bea and Pia

DRESSING up according to weather or the type of occasion while still trying to bring out your own personality can be a bit tricky.

The best type of clothes may be those flexible and can be both functional and fashionable. Before the reopening to the public of the biggest Uniqlo branch in Mindanao at SM Lanang Premier last Friday, July 19, Miss Universe 2017 Pia Wurtzbach and stylist-to-the stars Bea Constantino gave fashion tips for Dabawenyos on Wednesday, July 17.

As Uniqlo is known for its minimalist and laid back styles, Bea said it’s easier to mix and match garments whatever the occasion and the weather is.

Five lucky winners of an online contest, picked by Pia herself, were dressed up by Bea to show everyone present the versatility of the clothes.

In particular, the A-shaped skirt with buttons on the front well matched with round-necked ribbed shirt available in different colors. The simplicity of the get-up exudes an impression of comfort and ease in moving. Pia also noted how the skirt can be worn with heels or sneakers. She said she can find herself wearing the same ensemble when travelling.

As for men, Bea dressed one of them a navy blue polo with a water-resistant green collared cardigan over it. The khaki pants is also gartered on the edge for ease of moving around. To cap the man’s ensemble, Bea let him have a medium-sized khaki-colored shoulder bag that can fit almost anything – from a laptop to books, or even gym clothes. The bag is also water-resistant. Perfect for a rainy weather.

Both Pia and Bea showed their admiration and preference to the Uniqlo collection as they can be worn anytime and whatever weather it is. One just needs to be resourceful and creative.
