Archdiocese of Cebu holds Kundirana 2019 on July 27

THE Archdiocese of Cebu through Marriage, Family and Life–Cebu Archdiocesan Foundation Inc. will present “Kundirana 2019 Goes to Cebu,” which is a fund-raising event to support the archdiocese’s programs in strengthening Christian families.

On Saturday, July 27, 2019, the event will be held at the IC3 Convention Center in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City. The matinee show will start at 2:30 p.m., while the gala show will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Kundirana is a portmanteau of “Kundiman” (a traditional Filipino love song) and Harana (a serenade). From the name itself, the organizers promised that the event would make members of the audience reminisce their sweet childhood moments.

The performers are expected to play classic and pop songs, ranging from the Mabuhay Singers’ version of “Leron Leron Sinta” up to the youthful IV of Spades’ “Mundo.”

Kundirana started 45 years ago. Some of the Original Pinoy Music’s icons had stints with Kundirana—Gary Valenciano, Ogie Alcasid, Dingdong Avanzado and Randy Santiago.

The Kundirana 2019 of the Senior High School Music Ministry of La Salle Green Hills in Manila has been performed before local and international audiences. Its recent US tour lasted for a month with 29 performances.

The event’s organizers encourage the public to witness the event so they could enjoy the classic hits and dance to the modern rendition of today’s music during the event.

Tickets are now available at the office of Marriage, Family and Life–Cebu Archdiocesan Foundation Inc. in Archbishop’s residence compound on D. Jakosalem Street in Cebu City, University of San Carlos-Office of the Student Affairs and Cebu Institute of Technology-University president’s office.
