THE young Peter Parker swung into his current Marvel Cinematic Universe story arc at SM City Seaside Cebu’s Director’s Club Cinema for Philips Monitors’s exclusive media screening for “Spider-Man: Far From Home.” Continuing the adventures of the friendly neighborhood web-slinger and his friends, the movie follows the motley crew on a school trip to Europe. Desperate for a vacation from his everyday do-gooding, Spider-Man doesn’t get his break as trouble dogs him at every corner. Elemental threats from another dimension derail the trip, and Spider-Man gets recruited by both Nick Fury and the mysterious, um, Mysterio to help deal with the ensuing chaos, and their tour becomes a roller coaster ride.
The film’s almost nonstop action scenes and the double event of special effects-of-special effects (watch it to get it!) was superbly enjoyed at the Director’s Club Cinema. Its wall-to-wall screen and fantastic picture quality coupled with powerful and moving audio from the surround sound system made for an excellent cinematic experience
