Four teams extend win streak in 2019 CABC Corporate Cup

BUILD Rite, Boysen Paints, Cebu Home Builders and IEE defeated their separate foes to remain unbeaten in the 3rd Cebu Architects’ Basketball Club (CABC) Corporate Cup.

Build Rite beat ACC Lighstrong, 81-71, on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Cebu Port Authority Gymnasium in North Reclamation Area, Cebu City.

Reigning MVP Michael Cinco logged in an impressive number for Build Rite with a triple-double of 24 points, 21 rebounds and 14 assists on top of two steals and a block.

Paolo Tamoso also registered a triple-double with 13 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, while Gerald Lentorio added 21 points and 13 rebounds.

Ronan Monisit led the losing ACC Lightstrong with 18 points and 13 rebounds, CrisManal contributed 17, Brian Acebedo had 12 amd Bon Valecia chipped in 10.

IEE dropped Pioneer Pro, 74-69, after a fourth quarter comeback.

Darren Morandante spearheaded IEE’s charge with 20 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Ryan Rizzari added 18, while Mondix Verano contributed 12.

Jojo Opo led Pioneer Pro with a double-double of 25 points and 10 assists. Ferdinand Tiro and Mark Abueva added 18 apiece.

Boysen Paints routed Davies Paints, 92-75.

Lemuel Aspacio exploded for 31 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead Boysen Paints, while Elmer Laguna chipped in 17.

Pido Sanchez dropped 30 points to lead Davies Paints in a losing effort Ralph Catugas had 24 points, Dexsel Caadan added 16 and Justin Paolo Mabitad scored 11.

Meanwhile, the Cebu Home Builders outlasted Land Lite, 86-79.

Venur Villamor led Cebu Home Builders with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Chad Go added 16 and Chester Hinagdanan had 13.

Ayi Armenion carried most of Land Lite’s offensive load with a season high of 44 points along with 15 rebounds and six assists, while Mark Marquita added 13 points.
