AN UNIDENTIFIED motorcycle-riding gunman shot a resident of Hinigaran along the National Highway in Hacienda Alicante, Barangay Bungahin, Isabela Tuesday, July 23.
The victim was identified as Custodio Donesa, Jr., 41, and a resident of Barangay 4, Poblacion, Hinigaran.
A police report said the victim was riding on a motorcycle driven by his nephew Kenjie Mahinay when the unidentified assailant, who was also riding on a motorcycle, shot him using an undetermined caliber of firearm.
Donesa sustained gunshot wounds in his neck and back.
He was immediately brought to Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Memorial District Hospital for treatment, and was later transferred to Cozaron Locsin Memorial Regional Hospital for further medication.
A team from Isabela PNP led by Police Major Ruben Pajarito responded to the incident, but the gunman had fled.
Police are still trying to determine to motive of the shooting. (TDE)
