IT WAS Stars and Stripes forever!
At the cavernous and stunningly elegant lobby of Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, the scene was faithfully lifted from an Uncle Sam theme park—Stars and Stripes! After an impressive opening rite, media and guests moved to Cafe Marco for an exclusive taste of Tex-Mex cuisine like nachos, fajitas, churros, chili chicken with tacos, and more! Foodies kept coming back for more of mac and cheese, all kinds of burgers and fries, barbecued pork ribs, juicy roast beef etc. Certainly not to be missed were the devilish desserts: American Apple Aie, S’mores Melts and the Bacon Maple Bar!
The weeklong foodfest absolutely strengthened relations between the two life-long partners, and cheers and toasts were made: Long live, America!

This corner would like to apologize to newly wedded couple Stephanie “Peachy” dela Cruz and Amelito “Mutuc” Derecho for some “faux pas” committed in a past issue.
After the rites at Redemptorist Parish, guests trooped to Casa Uno for the resplendent cocktails and dinner reception, where family and friends took precious photos. One of them was this memorable photo of the huge Derecho clan with the couple.
Last but not least, Peachy would like to thank designer Yvonne Quisumbing for this beautiful wedding gown! (see photos).
