Dabawenyos shine in Butuan

DAVAO City grabbed its third straight overall championship at the close of the 2019 National Muay Thai Mindanao Leg held at Robinson’s Place in Butuan City recently.

Dabawenyos harvested a total of 10 gold medals, four silvers and two bronzes in the annual meet, bared

Muay Thai Association of the Philippines (NSA) vice president for Mindanao and Davao City Chapter president Nell Jone Astudillo via Facebook yesterday.

He said the city also ruled the 2017 edition in Tagum City and the 2018 staging in Cagayan de Oro City.

Hero Marco Manguray (jr male 16-17 95 kgs), Niko Angelo Manguray (jr male 14-15 60 kgs), Bryan Paolo J. Rimondo (junior male 14-15 51 kgs), John Paolo Galvan (Nabayra), Isolde Aiofe Hernani (jr boys 10-11 40 kgs), Sophia Alva Bravo (jr female 14-15, 63.5 kgs), Alan C. Tano (jr male 16-17 51 kgs), Altancheco C. Tano (sr male 45 kgs), Maria Gwyneth A. Caritan (jr female 14-15 57 kgs) and Norjean N. Sucaldito (sr female 54 kgs) brought home golds after beating their respective finals rivals.

The silvers were courtesy of Gabriela Josefa L. Bravo, Earl Pantaleon V. Serdon, Jeanne Bornea and Zigfred Claude Manila while Rolly Dagandang and Joe Guingone annexed bronzes.
