And with it the Mindanao Film Festival, one of the longest-running regional film festivals in the country, is now accepting submissions for this year’s film festival which takes the theme: “Our Mindanao, Our cinema”.

The theme encapsulates the aspirations of our foundation (Mindanao Film and Television Development Foundation Inc.) to have a sustainable regional cinema, the creation of a regional movie industry which serves as the platform of being a Mindanaoan.

Films for consideration are full-length, documentaries, short films, student films, and animated short films that are made by Mindanaoan filmmakers or films about, related or shot in Mindanao.

All genres are welcome. Film projects must have been completed anytime within October 2018 to October 2019.
