ANGEL Ann Salem Alba, the daughter of Police Colonel Roderick Agustus Alba and ABS-CBN - Cebu Station head Leilanie Salem-Alba, turned 18 last July 21, 2019.
Her parents hosted her a simple yet elegant birthday celebration dubbed as “Angel Ann Sparkles at 18” held at La Proa Ballroom, L’ Fisher Hotel, 14th and 15th Lacson Street, Bacolod City.
Being, the youngest daughter in the family, she enjoys the love and affection of her parents, relatives and even friends.
Angel Ann celebrated her life as she reached the legal age and womanhood.
Leilanie’s message to her daughter Angel Ann, “Sometimes, I look at you Angel with awe. Not believing that you are the baby that I cuddled so long ago, not equating this self-assured young woman with the girl who loved watching Dora the Explorer and Hi Five and waited for Peter Pan to fly through her window. I was warned that the years would fly by, and now, 18 years later, I finally understood what they meant. I’m watching you apply for college and that tired metaphor about spreading your wings and flying actually makes sense. You’re getting ready to leap out into the world and I am both terrified and proud. In short, Angel you continued to amaze me. I don’t have words of wisdom for you on your 18th birthday. The only advice that would suit you now, is just to continue to amaze me. Continue to blaze a path. Continue to make your life epic. You are so much more than I can put on paper because you are constantly doing more than I ever expected. And you are everything to me.”
For his part, Police Colonel Alba’s shared his message to her daughter, “I can’t believe that you are 18 now. I am so thankful to the good Lord who has blessed us with you our beloved Angel, how beautiful, talented, smart, and elegant lady you have become. You are now a vibrant, intelligent and independent young woman and you have accomplished so much. I just want you to know that we love you so much. You are such a loving person.”
He said, “This is one of the most memorable milestones in the life of our daughter Angel Ann. Please forgive me Angel Ann that there were times that I can’t be with you and our family because Papa has to work hard for the family. I also wish you to slow down a bit and spend more time with us. I know that whatever you do will be fantastic. Spread your wings and fly, my Angel.”
“Strive for the best. We are so proud of you. I know you can do everything you want to achieve if you put it in your mind. Just balance your studies and enjoy your life. We will always be here for you. Treasure this moment, your friends and most importantly, seek God first with all your heart and be thankful for all the blessings that God has provided for you and our family. I just want you to know that we love you so much and that you will always be my little girl. I just want you to know that your birth into this world has ignited and inspired me to push harder to provide a better life for our family. I am so proud to be your Dad and I am grateful for having such a wonderful daughter. Happy birthday Langga,” he added.
