Guv leads risk reduction council meeting

NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the third quarterly meeting of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) at the Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City.

During the meeting, the council gave status updates of the damage assessment brought about by the enhanced southwest monsoon caused by Tropical Storm Falcon.

The governor was also briefed on the dengue situation in the province, in which he gave orders to all council members to help mitigate the rising cases of dengue in the province.

The said meeting was also attended by Negros Occidental Board Member Samson Mirhan, who chairs the province’s committee on disaster preparedness; and PDRRMC Secretary Dr. Ma. Lina Sanogal.

It has been noted that dengue cases continue to rise in the province and measures have been made to address the situation. (TDE)
