A 19-YEAR-OLD lad and two of his companions were arrested in a drug bust launched by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon and Mabalacat City Station Drug Enforcement Unit in Barangay Tabun, Mabalacat City recently.
PDEA Regional Director Gil Pabilona identified the suspects as Vince Charles Paredes, a senior high school student who also works as a freelance model, and his companions Rommel Ramos and Lee Lander Pineda.
The suspects, who became subjects of a series of monitoring activities, were arrested after positively dealing illegal drugs in a private subdivision in Barangay Tabun during the anti-drug operation.
Confiscated from the suspects were two plastic sachets containing 60 grams of marijuana and one pack containing six pieces of blue heart-shaped tablets believed to be illegal drugs, all with an estimated value of P48,000.
The suspects were placed under the custody of the police. They are facing charges for violation of Sections 5 (sale), 11 (possession) and 15 (use) of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
