Police launch hotline in Zamboanga Peninsula



THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula launched Friday, July 26, a hotline for crimes and complaints against erring cops in Zamboanga City.

Brigadier General Froilan Quidilla, PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula director, said the project dubbed as “Isumbong mo, I-action ko” was launched Friday at a local shopping mall in Tetuan village.

Quidilla said the PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula hotline numbers are: 0997-3102-365 for Globe and 0961-2877-064 for Smart subscribers.

He said the hotline seeks to provide speedy police response to citizens’ complaints and reports on incidents in their areas, and to help the police in the internal cleansing program.

The PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula director encouraged the public to use the hotline for police assistance, complaints, emergency concern, suggestions and to report relevant information related to security and peace and order.

He assured the public that all information received through the hotline will be kept confidential and will be immediately acted upon.

The hotline will be operational 24/7 and will be monitored by a team of competent and responsible personnel of PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula who will respond readily to reports, complaints, suggestions and other concerns. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
