5 Angeles City bars with no business permits closed

FIVE clubs along Fields Avenue – Sky Trax Super Club, Phillies Sports Grill, Flaming Bar, Kurula, and Roadhouse – have been closed by the Angeles City Government after they were found operating without business permits.

PDEA director IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, and personnel from the Office of the Mayor, Business Permit and Licensing Board, City Environment and Natural Resources Office, Sanitation Division, City Social Welfare and Development Office, GAD Command Center, Acedtipo CEO, PNP Station 4, and City Information Office have conducted clearing operations anew to clear the sidewalks and check on the business permits of the bars.

Illegal structures, such as the one in front of the Wild Orchid Hotel, had been demolished while temporary makeshifts of ambulant vendors were also dismantled and their goods confiscated. Several plant boxes at the Penthouse Hotel were also confiscated to clear the sidewalk.

Last July 20, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. led the clearing operations along Fields Avenue, particularly “Walking Street.” The city government, in a bid to have an impressive city, moved to clear Fields Avenue of illegal vendors, vagrants, prostitutes, and minors.

“Kailangan po nating ibalik ang sidewalk sa mga tao,” said Mayor Lazatin.
