20 students receive financial aid

TWENTY senior high students of Benguet and Mountain Province received a total of P150,000 from the hydropower company Hedcor Inc.

Hedcor, in a press statement, said the financial assistance was received by students from Ampucao National High School, Sablan National High School, Benguet National High School, Pingad National High School and Sabangan National High School.

“This financial aid of Hedcor is assisting students in realizing their dreams and in reaching their fullest potential to become a contributing member of society,” Hedcor community relations supervisor Romeo Catingub said.

Catingub added they are in full support of the youth in their education which is one of the company’s promise of advancing business and communities.

Each students receive more than P7,000.

Mildred Sepulchre, principal of Sablan National High School, thanked the company for choosing and assisting their school.

“We can’t thank you enough for all your help, You are such a blessing to our school and to all our students,” she added.

Aside from the financial assistance, the company grants scholarships to college students, donates school supplies, books, computer units, school buildings, annual academic and technical-vocational trainings for teachers.

Hedcor operates 21 hydropower plants across the country with a generating capacity of 258.4 megawatts of renewable energy. It serves as run-of-river hydropower arm of the AboitizPower.
