COMMEMORATED annually, to celebrate the National Day of Belgium, the Ambassador H.E. Michel Goffin together with Cebu-based Consul a.h. of Belgium Enrison Benedicto and his wife Christine, welcomed their guests to a dinner reception at the ballroom of Marco Polo Plaza Cebu.
For this significant evening, the festivities began with a toast speech by Ambassador H.E. Michel Goffin himself who introduced and welcomed the new Manila-based Consul Jeremy Thirion, followed by the “La Brabançonne,” the National Anthem of Belgium. Before the traditional Belgian dinner spread was served, everyone in attendance took a moment to listen to an original Filipino composition entitled “Batang Gamhanan,” prepared by Maestro David Anne of the Sinfonia Academy Orchestra.
