VALLACAR Transit Inc. has promised that it will continue with its trips in the region despite the management issue the company is facing.
Connie Agbayani, the admin manager of Ceres Liners South, gave this assurance as the Yanson family—which owns the company—is caught in a bitter fight for control of the country’s biggest bus firm.
“We will make sure that our trips and our franchises won’t be affected,” she said.
She gave this assurance since Ceres buses from Dumaguete have not made their trips to Cebu in two days, affecting thousands of passengers who rely on the firm.
The bus firm’s employees, including its drivers and maintenance workers, also expressed their support for the current management in social media.
On July 28, 2019, Police Regional Office 7 head Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas also met with the management of Vallacar Transit to make sure that its operations won’t be affected and that passengers can travel to Cebu.
Sinas also promised to deploy police in all Ceres branches to make sure no untoward incident will occur.
