Elipe ‘back’ as head of Palaro Sports Center

FORMER Misamis Oriental board member President Elipe is now officially back as general manager of the Misamis Oriental Integrated Sports Complex (MOISC) after he was elected by the sports council on Tuesday, July 30.

Members of the Misamis Oriental Integrated Sports Council unanimously voted Elipe as manager during the election held at a hotel here.

Elipe was nominated along with Frose Radelyn Barros, MOISC officer-in-charge, when Elipe resigned after being appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte to sit as regular member of the provincial board last year.

But, Barros reportedly declined the nomination.

The members of the council present include Governor Yevgeny Emano, represented by Lawyer Irish Bermudez; Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno, represented by Oscar Cinco; and Misamis Oriental Schools Division Superintendent Randolph Tortula.

Also, Cagayan de Oro Schools Division superintendent Jonathan Dela Pena, represented by Eulogio Suaner Jr.; Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School (MOGCHS) principal Pedro Estano Jr.; MOISC treasurer Peter Elman; MOISC secretary Engineer Ferdinand Batar; MOISC legal counsel lawyer Melchor Cubillo, and Barros, MOISC-OIC.

Elipe has earlier expressed his intentions to return to MOISC to implement more changes and development in the sports center.

Among his plans are the upgrading of facilities and system of MOISC to better serve the public.

“I am happy that I was elected again as general manager of MOISC kay daghan ko og plano para mapalambo pa ang sports center,” Elipe said.
