Residents from 3 Pampanga towns, city get cash payout

RESIDENTS from the towns of Bacolor, Guagua, Sta. Rita and the City of San Fernando received their Cash for Work payout at the office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) office in the City of San Fernando Thursday, August 1.

The beneficiaries are under the Emergency Shelter Assistance (ESA). These came from the families affected by the 6.1 magnitude earthquake that hit Central Luzon last April 22.

The DSWD said there are around 248 families with partially damaged houses while 53 had totally damaged homes.

There were a total of 3,135 validated damaged houses in the three provinces in Central Luzon: 2,230 damaged and 905 destroyed. Pay-out for ESA beneficiaries in Bataan and Zambales has yet to be scheduled in August.

ESA has two categories. Families with destroyed houses will receive P30,000 plus 10 days built-in Cash for Work (CFW) while the families with damaged houses will receive P10,000 plus five days built-in CFW. For Central Luzon, the rate of CFW is P300 per day.

Payouts will also be held for Floridablanca (August 1); and Porac (August c1 and 2) beneficiaries this week.
