Arbois wins anew, tops Go Green run

ARLAN Arbois, Jr. and Esterlita Organiza shared 10K top honors in the just-concluded Go Green Revo Run for A Better Tomorrow held at NCCC Mall Victoria Plaza in Davao City.

Arbois of Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Trackers registered 33 minutes and 59 seconds to be clinch the men’s 10K title over Jimboy Lugay (34.11) of Davao Striders and Agustin Ychon (37.43) of Spectrum who landed second and third, respectively.

Arbois, however, failed to surpass his best record of 32:22 that he established in the Dagyaw 2019.

In a Facebook Messenger interview Thursday, August 1, Arbois said, “Naghinay ko kay wala ko sa condition ato kay giubo og gisip-on ko man gud ko (I was slow because I was not feeling well. I had cough and colds).”

In the distaff side, Organiza of Malaybalay, Bukidnon timed 45.21 to annex the women’s 10K crown at the expense of Daryn Mae Davan (46.15) and Mildred Velez of Aura (48.21) who settled for the next two places.

The men’s 5K title went to Glen Antiga of Island Garden City of Samal (Igacos) who clocked 19:10 to rule the event while Nepomuceno Antiga (21:6) was second and Gerald Canoy (22:37) placed third.

Crislyn Wenceslao of KSK (22:27), meanwhile, bested rivals Arlieny Onso (24:48) and celebrity athlete Gretchen Ho (26:14) for the women’s 5K top prize.

Robert Senon III bagged the 3K kids title in the event presented by NCCC Mall Davao and Milo in cooperation with Striders. (MLSA)
