A BARANGAY captain in Bobon, Northern Samar was shot dead by a still unidentified motorcycle-riding gunman Thursday, August 1, 2019.
The victim was identified as Joselito Sayde, 49, chairman of Barangay Santander in Bobon town.
Police said the incident happened around 1:35 p.m. in Sitio Lomibtong, Barangay San Isidro, Bobon.
Initial investigation revealed that the victim was shot to death by the gunman. He was hit in the head and back portion of his body.
The gunman immediately fled onboard a motorcycle after the shooting.
The Bobon police are still conducting a hot pursuit operation against the gunman. (SunStar Philippines)
