3 hurt as ex-mayor's car crashes into bank in Bulacan

THREE persons were injured after a sports utility vehicle (SUV) driven by a former mayor crashed into a bank in Marilao, Bulacan on Friday morning, August 2.

A police report identified the driver of the SUV as Epifanio Villamar Guillermo, 83, a former mayor of Marilao.

Initial investigation showed that Guillermo was trying to park in front of the Banco De Oro along McArthur Highway in Abangan Norte around 10:00 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle.

The car crashed into the bank and injured security guards Juaniver Felicis and Gerard Hermogenes.

Kristine Lanoza, a bank client who was withdrawing cash from an automated teller machine (ATM) near the bank's entrance, was also hurt,

The victims were rushed to St. Michael Family Clinic for treatment.
