BEING in event styling business is like being in the fashion industry as well. Event styling requires creativity. In fact, it is a powerful ingredient in making a celebration a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

In this kind of business, event stylists are expected to exert all efforts to make each event stunning.

For Joy Inocencio event styling is about bringing a client’s vision to life.

“As an event stylist, you are responsible not only for the harmonious blending of designs but also for setting up the overall ambiance of the celebration. The goal is not just to be visually appealing but to add value to the experience of the people who will be present in the event,” she said.

According to her, event styling will always be awesome because it transforms, transports and tantalizes.

“While others look for a beautiful place, I make the place beautiful,” she pointed out. To stand out, Inocencio ensures that her passion in event styling comes out. This is manifested in every occasion she styles. She does not focus on creating designs alone. She also sets the mood of the occasion to add value to the experience of both the clients and their guests. This means that she never stops innovating. Instead of waiting for new trends, she chooses to be the trendsetter.

“I always keep creativity and innovation together, that is, having both the courage and the confidence to think up and do new things,” she said. “And I also specialize in Military Weddings because I was inspired by what my Ninong told me that anyone could have a lavish wedding, but not everyone can have a military wedding, and so, I aim to create lavish military weddings. So, even with the tight competition in the event styling industry, I can positively say that not every event stylist can do that.”

Dabawenyo clients can experience her magic once again as she plans to make a comeback.

“Davao is brimming with opportunity and potential for my brand. Davao has been a successful city for so many years but more so with these recent years that Dabawenyos have become delightfully accepting about events and styling,” she said.

“And while I already started in Manila where I am currently based, the bulk of my former clients who have been both convincing and motivating me to have a comeback are from Davao. But even without considering the cities, I believe everybody deserves a beautiful and memorable celebration, and I don’t think you need to spend big for that, you have to spend smart, just like choosing an event stylist that can help you bring your vision to life,” she continued.

There is no exact date yet. However, Inocencio disclosed that “insane” discounts await her first 20 clients in the city.

As she returns in the limelight of event styling soon, everyone can definitely expect the version 2.0 of Styled by Joy Inocencio.
