JOINT operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and police have arrested a target drug personality in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, an official said Monday.
Lawyer Jacqueline De Guzman, PDEA regional director, identified the suspect as Romelito Bucala alias Dodoy, 45, a fish trader.
De Guzman said Bucala was arrested in a buy bust operation Sunday at Purok Morning Glory in the village of Don Andres, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
De Guzman said Bucala was arrested after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover agent in exchange for P200.
She said seized from the possession of the suspect were some P4,800 worth of suspected shabu, illegal drug paraphernalia and P200 marked money.
She said charges for violation of Sections 5, 11, 12 and 15, Article II of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect. (SunStar Philippines)
