Sibugay lawmaker elected House deputy majority leader

ZAMBOANGA Sibugay First District Representative Wilter Wee Palma II will sit as an ex-officio member in all committees in the House of Representatives.

This, as the 37-year-old Palma was elected on Monday, August 5, as the House Deputy Majority Leader.

Palma is now serving his second term as representative of this province’s first district, which comprises nine municipalities, namely, Buug, Diplahan, Malangas, Imelda, Alicia, Payao, Mabuhay, Talusan, and Olutanga.

Palma said he considers the position “as a podium to take forward the interest of my district and my province as well.”

He added that he will do my best “for the interest of my beloved constituents.”

The elder son of Governor Wilter Yap Palma, a lawyer by profession, is the only solon from this province who have re-elected as deputy majority leader for second time.
