FOR a warm-up, the Philippine Super Liga Spike-On-Tour will have a playdate here on Saturday, August 10 at the Corpus Christi gym onward to the cash-rich 3rd Cagayan de Oro Fiesta Volleyball Tournament on August 23 to 26 at same venue.
Local volleyball organizer Alex Adeva said the much-awaited Super Liga in Cagayan de Oro will pit the PLDT Home Fiber Power Hitters against F2 Logistics Cargo Movers at 4 p.m. and Foton Tornadoes Blue Energy versus Petron Blaze Spikers at 6 p.m.
Before the afternoon games, there will be a "Meet and Greet" at 10 a.m. in Limketkai Rotunda's Activity Center with ticket worth P1,000 per person inclusive of one free event shirt.
Fans could see the country's volleyball stars in flesh such as PLDT's Sasa Devanadera, Jasmine Nabor and Grethcel Soltones, F2 Logistics' Kalei Mau, Aby Marano and Lourdes Clemente, Foton Tornadoes' Iumi Yongco, Gyzelle Sy and Jaja Santiago and Petron Blaze's Bernadeth Pons, Mika Reyes and Ria Duremdes.
"Patikim pa lang kining Super Liga karong Sabado kay before sa city fiesta puhon another four-day volleyball tourney will take place at same venue," Adeva told Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro.
Aside from the Super Liga, the Higalaay Volleyball will offer around P400,000 in total cash prizes for the winning teams in men and women's categories.
