Welder nabbed for ‘shabu’ possession

OPERATIVES of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-COR) and Benguet Provincial Police Office (BPPO) arrested a welder for selling drugs believed to be “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to authorities in Betag, La Trinidad, Benguet in the evening of August 6.

Police Colonel Lyndon Mencio, Benguet PPO director, said the suspect, Denly Ogas Buayan, 48, welder, was arrested in Betag by a policeman who acted as buyer.

Confiscated in his possession are P1,000 marked money, a sachet of suspected shabu, one caliber .45, two magazines inserted with ammunition.

The drug bust was conducted by the Regional Intelligence Division (RID), Provincial Intelligence Bureau (PIB) Benguet Provincial Police Office(BPPO) Police Major John Macliing, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), La Trinidad Municipal Police Station (LTMPS), Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 14, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).

Anti-drug agents earlier nabbed Kevin Lhar Blanko Aguila, 18, student, and a resident of Tuktukan, Taguig City along Bontoc-Kalinga Road, Poblacion, Bontoc, Mt. Province on August 4 by the joint personnel of PDEU, Bontoc MPS, Mt. Province PPO and PMFC.

Confiscated from his possession were 10 bricks of dried marijuana leaves with an estimated street value of P1,188,000.

In Abra, a suspected pusher identified as John Lloyd Romera was arrested in a drug bust conducted in Bangued on August 4 by the joint personnel of PIB/DEU, RIU 14, RID, PDEA-Abra, PMFC and Bangued MPS, Abra PPO.

Confiscated from Romera are one sachet containing suspected shabu, two plastics containing suspected dried marijuana leaves, P1,000 marked money; P230 cash, cellular phone; one tricycle and drug paraphernalia.
