Integrated Bus Terminal collection up by 94%

THE Zamboanga City Government’s Integrated Bus Terminal (IBT) in Divisoria village reported breakthroughs in its collection effort for the month of July, this year.

Considered as an all-time record high, the IBT collection for parking services reached P172,420 for the month of July 2019 as against the July 2018 collection of only P88,860.

Rafael Derick Evangelista, III, IBT supervising transportation regulation officer, said the upturn in the parking area collection shows an increase of P83,560 or a 94 percent surge compared to last year’s income.

Evangelista said this is a “new all-time and historic high for the parking area collection as it breaks the June 2019 record of P152,080.”

He said the terminal’s general income for the month of July 2019 has totaled P1,613,466 or an increase of P225,441 as compared to the July 2018 record of P1,388,025.

He added that the big leap in the collection is due to close coordination and joint efforts of the City Treasurer’s Office and the IBT. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
