CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Central Luzon, through its Aurora provincial office, recently turned over various equipment to local handicraft-makers in Aurora.
DTI-Aurora Director Edna Dizon awarded the equipment to Croppersharesmen Cooperation president Jun Caspe, whose group is also the recipient of DTI’s Shared Service Facility (SSF) on Bamboo and Coco Shell Processing.
The newly-awarded equipment included modern bamboo cutting and shaping facilities such as bandsaw, circular saw, planer, joiner, bench drill and various hand tools, all amounting to some P500 million.
As beneficiaries of the SSF program, Croppersharesmen of Dipaculao are provided facilities that will enhance the productivity and improve the efficiency of production, thereby enabling the products of local micro, small and medium enterprises to compete in the local and international market.
The products of Croppersharesmen from Dibutunan, Dipaculao have also been featured in local and regional trade fairs such as the Aurora Trade Fair and the Likha ng Central Luzon Trade Fair.
