YOU should have seen the movie “Little” by Director Tina Gordon. It is humorous and anecdotal. Jordan, played by Regina Hall (as an adult) / Marsai Martin (as a kid) has grown to be a very successful woman, speeding her way up into adulthood.

Jordan believed that smart kids like her when grown up become a boss and nobody, nobody ever bullies the boss! Her success and high social status was apparently triggered by the reason that her classmates in grade school bullied her all the time. This challenged her to be a very accomplished person in her profession.

As an owner of a technical company who creates mobile applications or apps, she lived the time of her life. Her bossy, ungrateful and assertive character especially towards her employees gets her into deep trouble. A “practicing magician child”, Stevie, transforms her into an adult in a body of a kid. Jordan is then sent back to grade school by Child Protection Services.

After a series of significant events, Jordan is then “forced” and learns to be kind, as she now needs the help of her assistant, April, in pitching and closing deals for big apps sales. In the end, by being good, helpful and appreciative of others, Jordan gets back into her normal body physique upon the reverse of the child magician’s spell. Discover Eyes, the app, created by April, an interactive game where one can see the world through the eyes of a child, becomes a big hit!

Aside from being true and kind, one of the moral lessons here is to enjoy your youth. To not be in a hurry to be an adult. It will inevitably come. As the saying goes, “through the eyes of a child, we see the magic in everything”. This story brings me to our youth from whom I get inspiration from and individuals who have made a difference in their youth.
