NEWLY-INSTALLED Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) chairman and Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong is calling for a more dynamic RPOC focusing on results rather than reports.

In the third quarter meeting of the RPOC, Magalong said the council has been accustomed to giving out reports without the necessary outputs.

“I have talked with Department of the Interior and Local Government Cordillera (DILG–CAR) regional director Marlu Iringan that it’s about time we change our format during our quarterly meetings because if we continue with this, we will not reach anything, it is only ministerial,” Magalong stressed.

Magalong added targets should be met after every meetings to know where the RPOC is and what action the council has done.

“Let’s come up with a flagship project through workshops with the DILG, us in the council and come up with a flagship project of the RPOC for 2020, 2021 and 2022 so that our meetings should have an output. We cannot blame them also because we follow the traditional format,” Magalong added.
