Angel signs contract with ABS-CBN

YOUNG actress Angel Locsin will stay as Kapamilya star as she recently signed another two-year exclusive contract with ABS-CBN.

The signing took place at the ABS-CBN compound headed by Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN television head, Linggit Tan, Entertainment Production Head, Malou Santos, Managing Director of Star Cinema, Angel's manager Ethel Ramos and her father Mr. Angelo Colmenares.

“Happy because naka-latag yung mga projects. After ‘Only You,’ pahinga tapos ngayon tuloy-tuloy nanaman,” she said.

Angel added that she's excited with her line-up shows and she's very thankful to the Kapamilya network.

“(With ABS-CBN) Mas nag mature ako as an actress, mas narecognize ng tao yung talent ko and mas nagenjoy talaga ako sa trabaho ko,” the actress said.

When asked on what to expect from her in the coming months, Angel said she already had a meeting with actor Aga Muhlach for their upcoming movie to be directed by Olivia Lamasan.

She said she's very excited to work with Aga and that she was really star struck during their first meeting.

“Una nahihiya ako kasi hindi pa kami nagsisimula eh tagatak na yung pawis ko sa kanya eh. Pero yung second day na nagkita na kami ulit mas okay na, mas calm na ako, mas nakakausap ko na sya.”

The actress, who is consistently saying she wanted to work with Aga, is hopeful that they will be able to do the movie well and that she felt very honored to be working with someone admired by most young actresses of her generation.

The two are currently being handled by talent manager Ethel Ramos.

Aside from her upcoming movie, Angel will also be doing a teleserye with John Lloyd Cruz for Primetime Bida.

She said the project is very different from all the teleseryes in the evening time slot.

They were already asked to attend workshops and trainings, though no working title yet for the soap.

“Mataas talaga yung expectations ko sa kanya pero wag syang mag-alala kasi mas kinakabahan ako,” Angel said of John Lloyd. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
