THIS is something I came up with, as different people view “being healthy” in different ways. Let’s look at being healthy in these different levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.
Level 1 - Beginner
Description: This individual is still learning how to be healthy and how to engage in a healthier lifestyle.
Exercise routine: Three times a week, sometimes lazy.
Nutrition: Some fruit and vegetables. Some processed food. Some simple and complex carbohydrate. Some healthy eating but still retaining old unhealthy habits.
Sleep: Sleeps an hour before midnight.
Stress management: Occasional meditation
Level 2 - Intermediate
Description: This individual is someone who has understood the benefits of being healthy and is striving to make healthy living a lifestyle.
Exercise: Three, four times a week, slowly making exercise a habit.
Nutrition: More fruits and vegetables. More lean protein and complex carbohydrates. Cheat meals occasionally, conscious with diet. Has a supplement routine.
Sleep: Sleeps two hours before midnight.
Stress management: Regular meditation and gratefulness.
Level 3 - Advanced
Description: This individual lives and breathes health. For this person there is no other way. This person has tons of energy and cannot fathom living a sedentary and unhealthy life.
Exercise: Most days of the week, if not every day.
Nutrition: Mostly vegetables and fruits, lean protein, complex carbohydrates. Very rare cheat meal.
Sleep: Sleeps at least nine hours each night.
Stress management: What stress?
Which level are you in? Personally, I border between the intermediate and advanced levels. There is a benefit to being healthy. It’s up to you to start and improve on your wellness journey.
