MORE than 2,500 triathletes from 57 countries participated in the Regent Aguila Ironman 70.3 Philippines held in Cebu on Sunday, August 11, 2019.

The race covered a 1.9-kilometer swim, 90K bike and 21K run. The swim portion was at the waters of Lapu-Lapu City, the bike course covered the cities of Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue, Cebu and Talisay, while the run was in Punta Engaño.

Pro triathlate Tim Reed won the men’s title and Caroline Steffen topped the women’s side. The two-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist Nikko Huelgas became the men’s Asian elite champion.
