I, FOR one believe that nothing is absolutely unrelated. Even thoughts that you think have no connection at all will find a common ground if you are patient enough to think things over.
Or if you have the tendency to overthink, like me. The mind seems to find connections to seemingly unrelated things. But that's not what this is about.
Seemingly unrelated things are good, actually. We probably don't realize this on the onset but it is true. Oftentimes, we are often thrown off when this happens, not knowing how we should react. I remember times when I felt disoriented finding myself in such situations.
When we are faced with things that are unfamiliar to us, we often buckle under pressure. There is that point when we just feel overwhelmed by the unfamiliarity that stress just takes over. I'm sure that we've all gone through this at some point, right? It's not entirely an alien thing, just unnerving sometimes.
So, get yourself together. Take a deep breath and stop hyperventilating! All you need is to calm down, be objective and try to think clearly. Sometimes we really just need to sit ourselves down and relax. Then things will not be as bad as you think! Besides it just might be the "rest" from the usual that you need. New unfamiliar things can turn out to be new opportunities, as well as a new way of looking at things. It can also be a chance to widen one's horizon, a step towards discovering new things that can make you a better person all around!
If we are patient and if we hang on long enough, we just might find ourselves finding links between things that we never thought would make sense together. Or, it may serve as an avenue for us to consider delving into other worthy things. It allows us to take a second look at things we would usually dismiss and there just might be something worthy of the time and effort into looking into it!
Whether unrelated things simply provide a respite from the usual, provide a fresher look at old things or open up new avenues for new ideas and activities, give it a chance! It just might provide you with something you absolutely need!
