MCCI targets 600 members by end-2019

THE Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) targets to end 2019 with 600 members, as businesses continue to prosper in the city.

MCCI president Stanley Go said the chamber will conduct activities that are relevant to its members that will also propel its membership base to expand.

“Based on the advocacy of the chamber, we want to really be part of community building. We want every company to have that kind of mindset and culture,” he said.

The MCCI inducted 24 new members this year.

New members

MCCI welcomed Able Services Inc., ActiveSystem Software Inc., Bigblue Logistics, Cebu Evergreen Inc., Credit Suisse, Harolds Hotel, Kalinisan Chemicals Corp., KGK Management Inc., Landlite Phils. Corp., McMai Trading Corp., MDF Production (Core), MOL Logistics Phils. Inc., North Era Suites, Optimus Transport System Inc., Philippine Veterans Bank, Quest Hotel, Rise and Grind Equity Ventures Inc., SGS Philippines Inc., Thermax Energy and Environment Philippines Corp., Tokyo Consulting Firm, Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino Mactan, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, Prince Retail Group of Companies and Forks Cuisine and Events Co.

MCCI now has close to 500 member companies.

With the ongoing Mandaue Business Month, Go said they will conduct activities that will be both beneficial to the member companies and the people of Mandaue.

Go said that with the competition not restrained by geographical location, local companies should go out and sow roots not only in the national level but also in the international scene.

“We have an upcoming business summit that will focus on building the capabilities of member businesses to not just become competitive locally but also be globally competitive,” he said.

Summit

On Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, MCCI will stage its annual Mandaue Business Summit at the Oakridge Pavilion in Oakridge Business Park, Mandaue City.

One of the summit’s key guests is former President of the Philippines Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Other speakers are Ronilo Balbieran of Arsokos Corp., Isaias Calisto of of Cartrack Holdings Ltd., J. Carlitos Cruz of SGV and Co. Inc., Marie-Anne Lezoraine of Kantar Philippines - Worldpanel Division, Toni Miranda of Radiance Image Consultancy and Tony Sarmiento of Collab Manila. (JOB)
