ONE of the premier malls in Davao City held a one-day activity which features no-plastic usage all throughout the event.

NCCC Supermarket, in partnership with its sponsored brands, launched a one-day event last July 28, 2019 highlighting the retail company's campaign against single-used plastics through its “Go Green Revo” which featured series of activities that aims to educate and encourage shoppers to become environment conscious.

The event began with Go Green fun run that features no plastic usage all throughout the activity, highlighted by volleyball star and television host Gretchen Ho, bagging the 3rd place in the 5k Category.

The Wellness revolution continued with a Zumba party with Celebrity Fitness enthusiast Regine Tolentino followed by an Eco- Warrior maze, Poster Making Contest, series of eco-friendly talks and environment insights with April Leopardo, regional public affairs officer of DENR.

A Wellness Revolution was also launched where shoppers were able to enjoy healthy, organic choices and fresh produced items while making use of their eco bags and other reusable items.

"Our own simple ways like choosing reusable items in daily routines and skipping single-use plastics lalo na sa pag-pack ng mga pinamili natin can definitely help in protecting our environment, said Janna Mutalib, marketing manager of NCCC Supermarket.

Proceeds of the event will go to Matigsalug Tribe in Marilog District.

Go Green Revo Fun run achievers in 10k, male category were: Arlan Arbois (1st place), Jimboy Lugay (2nd place), and Agustin Ychon for 3rd place; in female category: Esterlita Organiza (1st); Darlyn Mae Davan (2nd) and

Mildred Velez came in 3rd.

In 5k male category, firs place was Glen Antiga, followed by Nepomuceno Antiga, and Gerald Ganoy as 3rd; in the female category: Crislyn Wenceslao (1st), Arlieny Onso (2nd), and Gretchen Ho (3rd).

In Kids Category, Roberto Senon III was the champion.
