2 gunrunners slain in shootout

CAMP OLIVAS -- Two unidentified gunrunners were killed in a shootout with police operatives in Barangay San Juan, City of San Fernando Wednesday, August 14.

Brigadier General Joel Napoleon Coronel, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Visayas director, said an operation on unlicensed firearms was conducted by the Pampanga 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company and City of San Fernando Police Station against the suspects.

The suspects, however, noticed that they were dealing with police operatives, resulting in a shootout.

Recovered from the crime scene were two caliber .45 pistols loaded with ammunition, one caliber .22 revolver (subject of sale), five large transparent plastic sachets of shabu, a weighing scale, aluminum foil and a silver Nissan Almera Sedan.
