FOUR security guards were arrested in separate entrapment operations in Davao City Wednesday morning, August 14.
Three were nabbed in Barangay Indangan and one in Bamboo State Subdivision, Barangay Sto. Nino, Mintal, for their alleged involvement in gun-running and illegal drug trade during the Oplan Paglalansag Omega.
Police Major Milgrace Driz, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Davao City Field Unit head, said the operations were conducted at around 11 a.m. together with the Buhangin Police Station.
In the Indangan area, the nabbed suspects were identified as Sario Tamay Butanlog, the leader of Butanlog criminal gang; Antony Anib Corpus; and Alfie Tadiaman Doctor. In Mintal, the suspect that was arrested was identified as Victor Sales Panerio.
Driz said several firearms were seized from the suspects in Indangan including one unit .9mm caliber pistol with serial # 161033; one piece magazine for 9mm pistol loaded five live ammunition; one unit .38 caliber revolver without serial number loaded with five pieces live ammunition for caliber .38; bood1e money with one piece P1,000 bill.
For Mintal, they yielded one unit .38 caliber revolver without serial number loaded with four pieces live ammunition and boddle money with one piece P500 bill.
“Subject arrested persons were identified members of Butanlog criminal gang, who are engaged in gun-running and peddling of illegal drugs in Davao City and neighboring provinces,” Driz said. (JCR)
