Sharing fourth to seven places at 5 points were Lorebina Carrasco II (Corpus Christi), Janiella Maeren Garcia (Corpus Christi), Paul Andrew Romanda (MOGCHS) and Charles Klent Gabing (Corpus Christi) with Aaron John Dacut, Francois Romel Bautista and Joel Lawrence Hoy of the Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School (MOGCHS) completing the top-10 circle after edging fellow 4.5 pointers Lyn Getubig, Joseph Alexis dela Rama, Ashlanie Pandi, Rhea Canino and Lance Rafael Magloyuan in the Bucholz tiebreak.

Bankrolled by the Metro Cagayan Eagles Club, the pre-fiesta Parents Chess Club tournament also had the elementary division for Grade 1-6, mixed boys and girls with special awards for the top 3 players belonging to the under 10 and under 8 age brackets.

"Regular na kining padula sa Parents Chess Club and we're so very happy nga gisuportahan kita sa mga Kuya from the Metro Cagayan Eagles Club for the development of local chess," said tournament coordinator Glenn Escarda.
