THE Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) gets “AAA” rating for calendar year 2018 based on the electric cooperative (EC) overall performance assessment and size classification recently released by the National Electrification Administration (NEA).

Ceneco, along with other top rating ECs performing well in their operations, was honored during the Golden Dagitab Awards Ceremony held at the Philippine International Convention Center Reception Hall in Pasay City on August 8.

The awards aimed at recognizing individuals and institutions that have significantly contributed to the implementation of the rural electrification program in the country.

Also, it is in line with the celebration of NEA’s 50th anniversary.

Ceneco Board of Directors, department and area managers, and representatives received the Golden Dagitab Awards for Triple A Category, member EC of the best region, and for the successful rural electrification implementation.

The Bacolod-based power distribution utility is also a recipient of the 2019 Philippine Rural Electric Cooperatives Association Inc. (Philreca) Awards From The Wires.

It bagged four awards such as Model Member EC Award, Three Years of Powerhouse Excellence Award, Circle of Excellence Award, and Paramount Achievement Award.

Ceneco, in a press release, said that the achievement is under the leadership of its president Dwight Carbon.

Garnering the “AAA” rating, the most coveted recognition from NEA, affirms its hard work and good governance in terms of financial, institutional and technical parameters.

The coopeative shares this feat to its member-consumer-owners who are the most valuable partners in achieving the milestone, it added. (PR)
