P250,000 shabu seized in Banago

AN ESTIMATED P250,000 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust operation of Police Station 3 at Purok Langis, Barangay Banago, Bacolod City yesterday morning.

The operation also led to the arrest of Joer Parar, of Bacolod City.

Police Major Ruel Culanag, chief of Police Station 3, said that Parar was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover at 2:30 a.m.

Police recovered from Parar’s possession six sachets of shabu weighing 20 grams, the P500 marked money, and coin purse.

Culanag said that Parar was identified as high value target and a former drug surrenderee.

He said the suspect is detained at station’s custodial facility and is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, a drug personality was also arrested in a drug bust operation of Police Station 7 at Purok Kabugwason, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod Thursday evening.

Arrested was Audie Gonzaga, of Bacolod City.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office, said the suspect was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover at 6:30 p.m.

Police recovered from Gonzaga’s possession five sachets of shabu, the P200 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 7 and facing charges for violation of RA 9165.
