Panasiatic Solutions marks 9th anniversary

PANASIATIC Solutions, among the pioneer call centers in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental will mark its 9th year on August 19, but anniversary activities will be held this weekend, August 17-18, declared by Siony Hijara-Ferraris, site manager and general manager, said during the press conference held on August 16 at their building 2 beside the Bacolod Government Center.

“Time flies. It’s been nine years since we broke ground in Bacolod City and currently, Panasiatic Solutions has two buildings/facilities. We have grown to be the biggest call center in Bacolod and still growing. We are working with our local government unit, Department of Education and other partners. But still they are looking for an additional of 2,000 agents who can work with us for us to fill in our second facility,” Hijara-Ferraris said.

Rogie Arceñas, Panasiatic’s Operations Director said their sports fest theme is “Going beyond the colors” where they aimed to maximize the potential by going beyond the departmental divide and strive to work in cooperation and collaboration with each other.

They will start their sportsfest with a motorcade Saturday at 1 p.m. They are expecting 50 to 60 cars and a hundred motorbikes joining the motorcade.

The fun run is slated on Sunday at 5 a.m. and Zumba at 6:15 a.m. Zumba dancers will lead the exercise or calisthenics.

Moreover, there were eight departments that competed in the sportsfest that kicked off last April 19 with a cheerdance competition won by the Business Unit 3.

Basketball and volleyball were the major sports events where the championship game held on August 10 at STI West Negros Coliseum were played by Business Unit 4 and Centralized Support and won by the Business Unit 4 for the basketball while Business Unit 2 won the volleyball.

The minor events include board games like Chess and Game of the Generals.

They also played pinoy games such as patintero, kadang, sack race, plank walk, chinese garter, luksong lubid, luksong tinik, palosebo, sungka, pick-up sticks, jackstone, jousting and unit wars.

Mobile eSports like the Mobile Legends tournament were also held. The elimination was played last August 1 to 10 and the championship game is set today, August 17 at 3 p.m., Panasiatic Solutions Building 2.

Panasiatic, PhilCare ink health insurance contract

Panasiatic has renewed their contract with PhilCare for the insurance coverage of their more than 4,500 call center agents in Bacolod City.

This is part of their yearly anniversary activities of Panasiatic where the company values more the health and welfare of their benefit agents, Hijara-Ferraris said.

Carmel Montesclaros of Philcare said it is our 5th year with Panasiatic and each year, we endeavor to give Panasiatic employees always more than what they have enjoyed previously. For this year, we have lined up some wellness talks so that Panasiatic agents will be aware of the things that they must do to avoid certain common diseases. It is all about the holistic aspect of the Panasiatic employees.

Philcare just finished their 2nd wellness index study conducted by a reputable researcher Dr. Fernando Parragas of the University of the Philippines. It was found in that study that the people from Western Visayas, we are better off than the rest of the country in terms of social, financial, emotional and psychological wellness.

“We smoke less while the rest of the country smokes an average of four sticks of cigarettes a day while the Visayans, the average is only one stick a day. People in Western Visayas also has a better sex life where people in the age bracket of 31 to 50 are having sex more than 3 times a week. People in Western Visayas have more money to pay for the hospitalization so they worry less. Visayan people are not that stressed compared to people in Luzon when it comes to hospitalization. Negrenses are more ‘chill’ than the rest of the country,” she said.
