Nayong Pilipino Clark celebrates Buwan ng Wika

CLARK FREEPORT -– In solidarity with Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino and Department of Education’s celebration of Buwan ng Wika, the Nayong Pilipino Clark is set to put some well-researched captions of the items on display with the use of more than one Filipino language.

Nayong Pilipino Foundation Executive Director, Michelle Aguilar-Ong, said in an interview that the displays shall promote greater understanding among diverse cultures, as well as provide additional knowledge to the local and foreign tourists.

In addition to the various Filipino language captions, the cultural theme park will also install Braille to let visitors with visual impairment assist in comprehending the exhibit.

With this year’s theme dubbed “Wikang Katutubo Tungo sa Isang Bansang Filipino,” Aguilar-Ong said that it’s appropriate to apply this to Nayong Clark Park as it proudly employs some katutubo from the neighboring uphill towns outside the Freeport zone.

The annual national language month is pursuant to Proclamation 1041, signed by former President Fidel V. Ramos, which declares the celebration of Filipino language every month of August.

Apart from local language, the Nayon Clark Park is also paced to showcase various Philippine cultural performances, attractions including old villages from the country’s different regions, and exhibits of artifacts from numerous Filipino ethnic groups.

The much awaited reopening of Nayong Pilipino Clark will be on October 28, 2019. (PR)
