TALISAY City Luigi Triathlon Group (TLTG’s) Matthew Justine Hermosa and Moira Frances Erediano will look to continue their winning ways in the 2019 Batang Pinoy Championships on Aug. 25 to 31, 2019 in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

Hermosa and Erediano both ruled the 13 to 14 boys’ and girls’ divisions of the Alaska Fortified IronKids Philippines in Lapu-Lapu City last Aug. 10 and the two rising triathletes want to do the same in Palawan.

But it won’t be an easy task as they are pitted against the country’s top triathletes aged 15 and Under.

Hermosa will be racing alongside TLTG teammates Jacob Kennedy and Jacob Clint Lipura, Earol Belonguil and Dave Zachary Fernandez in the boys’ 13 to 14 division, while Erediano will have teammates Jeanna Mariel Cañete, Reece Polinar, Kendra Leigh Cabando and Marielle Estreba.

TLTG will come in full force as they will field athletes in the cycling event. John Fernan Flores and Luke Patrick Fernandez will represent the team in the boys’ 14 to 15 age group, Kurt Gavin Cabando in the 12 to 13 division and Jason Christopher Cañete and Van Wincy Pagnanawon in the 9 to 10 class.

Vianne Agnel Pagnanawon will suit up in the girls’ 12 to 13 and Rhexiel Belonguil in the girls’ 9 to 10.

The multi-sporting event for 15-Under grassroots kids organized and conducted by the Philippine Sports Commission will have 31 total sporting events. The event will be participated in by 234 local government units.

Around 10,000 athletes, coaches and technical and delegation officials from all over the country are expected to converge in Puerto Princesa, Palawan for the week-long event.
