ABOUT 200 indigent residents of Mabalacat City recently received cash assistance from the city government.
The cash assistance, between P3,000 to P5,000 per beneficiary, is part of the city’s social programs under the leadership of Mayor Cris Garbo.
Other social programs provide medical, financial, hospital and burial assistance.
“This financial aid is a great help to the Mabalaqueños especially those who are in dire need of support in medical and hospital expenses,” Garbo said.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) distributed the cash aid last week.
CSWDO head Charlo Costales said the recipients are just the first batch of the thousands of beneficiaries under the city’s medical programs.
Also present during the payout of financial assistance were Vice Mayor Geld Aquino and members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
