SUNTRUST Properties Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Megaworld Corporation, topped off on August 17, 2019, the first residential tower of One Lakeshore Drive.
"The topping off signifies that we are complete structurally and our other contractors are starting to come in to finish it for turnover," lawyer Harrison Paltongan, president of Suntrust Properties, said in an interview on Saturday, August 17, at the real estate firm's newly inaugurated office at the Davao Finance Center (DFC) at the Davao Park District in Lanang, Davao City.
He said other contractors are now coming in to complete and install the other components of the residential tower like the walls, windows, and its electrification.
Paltongan said the turnover of the units to the buyers of the first tower is targeted to be in August 2020. However, the turnover date will still depend on other factors like the electrification of the tower and the occupancy permit.
After the topping off of the first tower, Paltongan said they hope to top off the other three towers in the next two years.
The One Lakeshore Drive, which is composed of four towers, is among the first structures to rise in Megaworld's 11.2-hectare Davao Park District. The four towers have over 1,200 units combined.
Paltongan said their units are "almost sold out." Units at the One Lakeshore Drive includes studio, executive studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom.
Meanwhile, Suntrust Properties Inc. inaugurated its 560-square-meter office at the DFC after the topping off ceremony. Paltongan said the bulk of the operations in Davao City will be operated from here.
