A TOTAL cash prize of P300,000 is at stake when the 1st Metba-Davao Kadayawan Open Tenpin Bowling Championships gets underway Tuesday, August 21 until Monday, August 26, at SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center, Lanang, Davao City.
Metro Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association, Inc. (Metba) president Joseph Flores, in a statement, said the mixed open division champion will pocket P60,000 while the next two placers will take home P30,000 and P15,000. They will also receive trophies. The fourth to eighth placers will also receive cash prizes.
The seniors division first three bowlers will claim P50,000, P25,000 and P12,000 with trophies. Cash prizes also await the fourth to eighth placers.
The youth division offers P15,000 for the champion, P8,000 for the runner-up and P4,000 for the third placer. The fourth and fifth placers will also not go home empty-handed.
The top qualifier of each division and male and female highest single scratch score will also get cash even as the perfect 300 game scorer will be awarded P25,000.
The event is sanctioned by the Philippine Bowling Federation, a member of the Asian Bowling Federation and the World Bowling. (MLSA)
