Isaias Calisto, Cartrack Holdings Ltd. global chief executive officer, gave this advice during the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Business Summit.
Calisto’s company, Cartrack Holdings Ltd., is a provider of fleet management solutions, according to an MCCI press release. Cartrack collects raw data from telematic devices, transforming them into intelligent management reports for businesses to maximize operational efficiencies of fleet and human resources, the press release added.
Calisto said the amount of time spent in traffic costs people precious time and money. There are costs to the environment because of pollution and costs to businesses because of the delays, he said.
Through technology, he said, vehicles will be made efficient and data gathered can be used to predict traffic behavior. “You can predict what this traffic can cost you. With statistics in the data, we can improve our own predictions,” he said. (JOB)
